Illustration created during the course Illustration: Exploration by Janice Nadeau.
Each student was assigned a historical figure for which they had to create a "tattoo" based on elements taken from the figure's biography. I was assigned Tupac Shakur. I chose to illustrate Qa'id Walker Teal, a five year old child that was killed from a stray bullet of a gun he was carrying, an incident that took place on August 1992. The words on the illustration are taken from the Thug Life commandments, which Tupac wrote only a few days after the incident. Whether those two events are related still remain unknown to this day.
